“The Best Of” Cache Valley WaterwiseLandscapes Tour
Tour three residential waterwise gardens along with the Cache Valley Community Gardens. Highlights at these gardens include front lawns of creeping thyme varieties and crested wheatgrass, native grasses and flowering plants, drip irrigated raised vegetable beds, use of swales instead of curb and gutter for catching run off, wildlife friendly garden, turf demonstration plots, display gardens, community garden plots and a cover crop display.

Weeks’ Berries of Paradise and Zollinger’s Fruit and Tree Farm
Weeks’ Berries of Paradise is a commercial berry farm growing raspberries, blackberries, black currants and blueberries. Join Merv Weeks as he gives us a tour of the berry plantings and the commercial facilities where they produce juices and jams. The shop will be open if you want to buy something berry nice to take home. For more than a century, Zollinger’s has flourished as a symbol of Cache Valley’s rich heritage. Acres of apple orchards provide apples and cider to the community. They also grow landscape trees that are shipped across the region and down the Wasatch Front. Zollingers has been selected by the LeRay McAllister Open Space Conservation Fund to ensure a conservation easement for future generations.

Utah State University Campus Landscape Tour
Spend an afternoon touring the USU Campus arboretum and landscape with USU’s professional landscape team to see common and unusual plants for consideration in the home garden. Golf carts will be provided to provide access to persons with all abilities.

Stokes Nature Center Tour
Stokes Nature Center is just a short drive up Logan Canyon along the Logan River. Learn more about how the center provides opportunities to explore, learn about and develop appreciation and stewardship for our natural world. Participate in a hands-on program to discover and familiarize yourself with the wonders of nature that exist in Cache Valley and Logan Canyon. Easy trail, walking required.

Saturday Tour- 7:00 – 8:45 am

Bridgerland Birding Tour
The Bridgerland Audubon Society will guide this early morning birding tour which will be a walking tour up Green Canyon to discover local song birds. Moderate walking on an unimproved road is required.
