A workshop looking at ten of the more interesting and important insects of the garden and their management. Taught by our featured speaker Dr. Whitney Cranshaw, Extension Specialist and Professor of Entomology at Colorado State University, Author of Garden Insects of North America, Pests of the West and Bagging Big Bugs, along with many other publications. He has done extensive entomology training for the Colorado Master Gardeners.

What’s Wrong with my Tomatoes?…(and other garden veggies) –
A discussion of disease problems in the home vegetable garden by Dr. Kent Evans, USU Extension Specialist in Plant Pathology.

Currants and Blueberries

Green Alternatives to Lawn –

A discussion of thorny issues about raspberries, blackberries and other brambles grown in Utah. Taught by Dr. Brent Black, USU Extension Fruit Specialist.

Learn how to incorporate intermountain natives in the home landscape. Dr. Heidi Kratsch, USU Extension Ornamental Specialist will share her ideas and talk about her collaborative research efforts using water-wise plants.
